Today Beans and I ran all around doing various errands. At PetSmart, she was delighted by this bird. I'm terrified of birds. It's in my genes. Birds don't like me. Seriously. This one seemed amused by Beans. I thought maybe she'd avoided the gene that not only I but my father and sister both carry that makes birds attack us randomly... until it tried to bite her through the glass.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

It's hard to get Beans to sit down for a whole meal. She usually plays with her ball tent balls. They make good eyeballs and gorilla muscles.

Pirate flops! We went shopping today and Beans got flip flops. She wanted the one with skulls on them because they were "pirate" flops in her mind. I love this kid!

It was about 60 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside. She should have probably had on pants, but she wanted to wear a swim suit and hoodie and blow bubbles.

This was Bean's reaction to seeing a butterfly up close in person. She was climbing Jas' leg. This is the same child that tries to catch carpenter bees in the back yard.

A friend of mine and her son came to play with me and Beans. This was only part of the hilarity. With friends like these, who needs a demolition crew?

Today, Beans and I went to The Porter with our buddy Anh. Anh had two beers and shared a big fat basket of the most delicious fries with us and then bought Beans some home made vanilla ice cream.

This is the Wigglin' Waterpillar. I bought it for Beans entertainment. I thought it would wiggle as the name and packaging suggests. It didn't. This disappointed me: however, Beans' happiness with the non-wiggling Wigglin' Waterpiller pleased me very much.

This is what some one looks like after they've had a piece of metal remove from his eye and the rust (because the aforementioned metal was in there at least 4 days) scrapped off with an instrument that looks like a mini golf putter with a sharpened edge. In case you were wondering. You're welcome.

Progress! This is going to be the most awesome play house ever! Or at least the most awesome one in my neighborhood. I think it's the only one, so it would have to be. But it's going to rock!

Jas asked me to go to Home Depot and get four 4x4x8 foot posts. I thought he was building a fence. He said he was building "a shelter" for "building supplies" and what not. He told me that there was a sketch of it in his office and I could look at it. So I did. You're not looking at a storage shed... you're looking at the beginnings of Bean's playhouse!

Beans and I went to Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta. We spent two and a half hours playing non-stop. I snapped this photo a few minutes after we got there. She had just declared that "it's beautiful."

Several months after Jas lost his wedding band, I found it... under the dish drainer.

Happy Easter! I think. That's my nephew standing behind Beans (whose mouth is filled with cheese) with the toy knife. They actually get along pretty well... most of the time.
