Baby Update: Poor Kiddo

Little Beans has her first ear infection. Last night she was a fussy. Toss and turned in bed. Didn't eat much. Just didn't seem quite right.

This morning, I was holding her and her daddy came over to give her kisses and he thought she was warm. I always think she's warm, but if he thinks it too, something's up. So I took her temperature.

And off to the pediatrician we go. Well, three hours and a pissed off and worn out baby later, we're back at home with antibiotics. She's napping peacefully, but you would be too if you'd been through what she went through this morning. 

She's had a rectal (yes, up the booty) temperature taken three times, awakened from a nap to  be held down to look in her ears, put in and taken out of the car seat three times, and on and on with minor frustrations. Heck, I need a nap too!

On a happier and lighter note, she has yet another tooth. That's right, 4 total. Two on top and 2 on bottom. And she likes to grind them. It's gut wrenching. I'm sure it's a phase, something new and interesting.

But hopefully this ear infection will be an easy one. Into the mouth and over the gums, fruity creamy antibiotic, here it comes!
